PUBLIC INFORMATION / COOPERATION WITH THE PUBLIC COMMUNITY (PI/CPC)

PI/CPC Chair: Michael R.

Email Mailing Address:  picpc.d5@gmail.com

Mailing Address:  District 5 P.O. Box 2876 Harker Heights TX 76548

District 5 PI/CPC carries the message of Alcoholics Anonymous

by disseminating AA information, Big Books, pamphlets, and other AA literature via speakers, table top displays, news releases, letters, media, billboards, and other means. Locations include (but are not limited to) churches, publications, radio, television, internet, libraries, health fairs, churches, jails, schools, local businesses, and AA gatherings in general.

Purpose

PI:  The purpose of P.l. service work is to provide accurate A.A. information to the public when requested. P.l. committees visit schools, businesses and community meetings for this purpose. They also serve as resources for our friends in the local media, emphasizing our Traditions of anonymity, singleness of purpose and non-affiliation, as well as offering A.A. public service announcements to radio and television stations.

CPC:  Members of these committees provide information about A.A. to those who have contact with alcoholics through their profession. This group includes health care professionals, educators, members of the clergy, lawyers, social workers, union leaders, and industrial managers, as well as those working in the field of alcoholism. Information is provided about where we are, what we are, what we can do, and what we cannot do.

How You Can Help

Help place AA literature in local AA meeting locations, businesses, churches, and other outlets and at events.

AA groups may sponsor and maintain literature racks in District 5 locations.

For questions and to obtain literature for display, contact the PI/CPC Chairperson at: picpc.d5@gmail.com
