GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING POSTS

Purpose

This blog provides a space for members of Alcoholics Anonymous to share their experience, strength, and hope on a variety of recovery-related topics.

1. Content Focus

  • Share only from your personal experience — what it was like, what happened, and what it’s like now.

  • Keep posts recovery-centered and consistent with AA’s Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions, and primary purpose.

  • Avoid outside issues, personal opinions on non-AA matters, or promotional content.

2. Anonymity

  • Please protect your own and others’ anonymity.

  • Do not use full names, identifiable photos, or details that could reveal another person’s identity.

3. Tone and Language

  • Write in a spirit of kindness, honesty, and inclusivity.

  • Avoid profanity, criticism of others, or negative commentary about specific people, groups, or institutions.

4. Length and Format

  • Suggested length: 300–800 words.

  • Use clear, simple language.

  • Posts may be lightly edited for grammar, clarity, or length while preserving your voice.

5. Submission Process

  • Send your post to CENTRALTEXASAA@GMAIL.COM.

  • Include your first name and last initial (or “Anonymous,” if preferred).

  • Indicate which topic your post relates to.

  • You’ll receive confirmation when your submission is reviewed.

6. Review and Publication

  • All submissions are reviewed by the editorial committee for adherence to these guidelines.

  • Posts may be scheduled based on topic rotation or current focus areas.
